Louis Vuitton Introduces the "Flight Mode" Collection for Summer 2024: A Nod to Heritage and Modern Travel

Louis Vuitton is celebrating the art of travel once again with its new "Flight Mode" collection for Summer 2024. Designed with the modern globe-trotter in mind, this capsule encompasses ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, and accessories, promising to bring luxury to every journey.

The "Flight Mode" line debuts with a captivating theme: the Elysée Palace pattern. This motif comprises a patchwork of vintage travel labels, paying homage to the storied legacy of Louis Vuitton and the site of the first luxury hotel on Paris’s 103 avenue des Champs-Élysées—also the future site of a new Louis Vuitton venture.

A cornerstone of the collection is its vivid reflection of travel’s golden age, with stacked trunks featured prominently in the campaign, symbolizing the brand's pioneering spirit. This vitality is woven throughout the collection, bridging past and present. The Elysée Palace theme extends across the Monogram canvas of several iconic bags, including the Keepall and the Side Trunk, as well as passport covers and travel cases. This exclusive canvas harks back to the original fabric that covered Louis Vuitton trunks in the late 19th century—a blend of cotton and linen coated in fine resin.

Innovation is key in the Flight Mode lineup. The collection includes the new Hobo and Shoulder Bag Low Key crafted in supple grained calfskin, and the OnTheGo Voyage tote, which features a removable belt pouch and redesigned compartments for practical storage. The iconic Capucines bag is reimagined in a larger, ergonomic size that ensures comfortable shoulder wear, while the Blossom model in refreshing mineral blue adds a touch of color.

The ready-to-wear segment stands out with its trendy sportswear silhouettes that allow complete freedom of movement. The collection combines high-quality technical materials with denim, light, voluminous garments, and swimwear to create a versatile and sophisticated wardrobe. Coordinated outfits include Monogram embossed knitwear, cashmere sets, and tailored striped fluid pants, ensuring a chic look. The delicate palette of natural tones is complemented by an elegant silk twill jacquard featuring the Mahina Monogram, while the Elysée Palace print decorates essential jersey, twill, and nylon womenswear items.

Footwear in the collection is versatile, suitable for both active walking and relaxation. The dynamic LV Rush sneaker features a graphic sole and hiking-inspired details, while mules and sandals include Louis Vuitton’s signature hook. The Elysée Palace motif also adorns the Pool Pillow mules in nylon and open-heeled Lous sneakers in leather.

Further elevating the collection are jewelry pieces such as the white gold LV Volt necklace and a range of costume jewelry. The GO-14’s LV initials have been transformed into timeless earrings and pendant necklaces, while Nanogram Enamel rings and bracelets can be worn alone or stacked for added elegance.
