Genny x Mykonos: a New Capsule Collection Celebrating Summer Holidays

The Italian creative and Verona-native Sara Cavazza Facchini loves travelling. Fashion insiders know her for her timeless elegance and for giving a new life to the Italian heritage fashion house Genny (a fun fact: before launching his own fashion label, Gianni Versace used to create glamorous designs for it), which she has been creative director of for more than 10 years now. So her latest idea for the summer was to bring Genny to one of her favourite holiday destinations: Mykonos.  

For the summer capsule collection, available online on the brand’s website but also IRL at a pop-up store in Cavo Tagoo Hotel and at Genny flagship boutiques in Italy, Cavazza Facchini explores the characteristic landscape of the Greek islands, with its white and blue houses, evoking the sky and the sea. The eye-catching printed motif is spread around summer essentials - think elegant caftans, maxi shirts and mini shorts in muslin and twill, perfect to stroll around the town under the sun or to have a sip at a bar by the seaside. There are also holiday accessories: a raffia tote bag to fit in everything you need on the beach (or in town), a chic white cap to protect you from sunstroke while you will be playing tennis or sunbathing, and even an XXL lifebuoy to have fun in the pool - all embellished with the House’s iconic orchid motif.

But that’s not all. For the summer season (or in other words until the end of October), Genny is also taking over the iconic Cavo Tagoo Hotel’s prestigious suites, where you can find the same blue and white graphic orchid motif, Maison’s signature, printed on the sunbeds, beach towels and pillows.
