For One Magic Night Valentino Beauty Reopens Studio 54

Everybody knows the fabled stories of Studio 54, the nightclub that rewrote nightlife itself, where icons at the crossroads of art, music and fashion danced from dusk till dawn. Andy Warhol, Karl Lagerfeld and Tom Ford mingled with Jackie O’, Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Cher, all under the mirrored disco ball on West 54th Street in Midtown Manhattan. Housed in a former Broadway theatre, it became the stage for the most spectacular parties of the 20th century – arguably, of all time – and redefined the very notion of how to celebrate life. Now, there’s a chance to step back inside. For one night only, on 10 September during New York Fashion Week, Studio 54 will come alive again thanks to Valentino Beauty. A delicious detail: Valentino Garavani himself was once a devotee of the club.

At the heart of this revival is the launch of the Valentino Beauty 2025 Rendez-Vous Ivory Collection – a limited edition that captures couture audacity and poetic sensuality. This year, the house dresses its Born in Roma Donna and Uomo fragrances in luminous ivory, traced with touches of gold. The bottles nod to Studio 54’s fearless spirit, transforming into a blank canvas for individuality and self-expression.

Born in Roma Donna is reimagined with luminous orange blossom and a marshmallow accord, softened by creamy Madagascar bourbon vanilla and airy white musk. Born in Roma Uomo strikes a warm, woody-ambery chord, where sparkling bergamot and aromatic lavandin meet the allure of a crackling fireplace, magnetic, intimate, unforgettable.

The collection also introduces a new star to the Valentino Beauty universe: the Spike Valentino Ivory limited edition lipstick. The exclusive lineup includes a perfect neutral nude, a warm pink-toffee shade that feels daring yet effortless, and a terrazzo red recalling the flush of bitten lips, all topped off with a rose-gold shimmer. Each formula is infused with Roma Light Complex for vibrant luminosity and a velvet-matte finish.

These new launches are accompanied by a festive campaign starring model and Born in Roma ambassador Adut Akech, captured by photographer Carlijn Jacobs. Evoking the rhythm and atmosphere of a party, it’s a playful nod to Studio 54’s hedonistic legacy.
