And yes, Ferragamo is back at the Dubai Mall. After massive renovations, the Italian brand’s boutique is back into the business. In the newly renovated shopping space, you can find women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, bags and accessories.
The design of the Dubai Mall boutique has been inspired by the emblematic Ferragamo store in Naples: hence Custom Bugnato and a significant amount of signature chambolle stone, sporting the Ferragamo logo on the facade but also the shelves inside the venue. Other key design elements include calacatta and green marble panels, and matching graphic green carpets.
The boutique is also filled with beautiful design objects signed by contemporary talents. For example, there are Aquario tables completely adorned in sea blue ceramics, imagined by Andrea Mancuso from Analogia Project (he designed it under the supervision of Milanese gallery Nilufar and its founder Nina Yashar). Other highlights include a collection of tables designed by Andrea Anastasio and edited by the Roman gallery Giustini/Stagetti, Corallium, crafted from leather string stitched to the stones, as if colourful stones were magically connected to each other.
But that’s not all. The customers will have a unique chance to try the made-to-order bag experience, available for both women’s and men’s accessories (the Dubai Mall is a rare place in the world that offers this Ferragamo service). How does it work? You can take some of the iconic Ferragamo designs (Hug bag, Flamma, Studio bag or archive styles from the 90s, including a top handle and a clutch that feature the recognizable Gancini closure) and personalise it with priceless leathers - think ostrich or alligator, available in a variety of colours and finishes, as well as choose the hardware and monogramming. Then your order will be sent directly to Florence, where the Ferragamo Leather Atelier will produce the bag of your dreams.
