This festive season, why not live a little – and dine a lot – the Louis Vuitton way? After all, life’s too short for ordinary table settings and average desserts. Known for its storied legacy in craftsmanship, the Maison has extended its savoir-faire into two new realms: tableware that elevates every meal into a masterpiece and holiday gastronomy that redefines the boundaries of sweet luxury.
First, let’s talk tableware; the Splendor collection is a tribute to the grandeur of fine dining. These Limoges porcelain pieces shine with dynamic gold motifs, including Louis Vuitton’s initials intertwined in a mesmerizing trompe-l'œil effect. If this collection sounds like something out of a royal banquet, that’s no coincidence: it debuted in all its gilded glory at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, where it graced a gala dinner benefiting historic restoration efforts.
And then, there’s Rivet, Louis Vuitton’s first foray into cutlery. Inspired by the Maison’s iconic trunk nails, this 14-piece set marries elegance with a modern edge. The stainless steel option exudes contemporary sophistication, while the silver-plated Épi variation pays homage to the iconic pattern with handles that ripple like sunlit wheat fields.
The Christmas log has been a winter staple for millennia, ever since before Christmas was even a thing, but this one is not like the rest. Designed by Chef-Pâtissier Maxime Frédéric, this gourmet creation perfectly embodies both the brand and the season’s spirit. In elegant script, the words “Louis Vuitton” almost look like they’ve been etched in a fluffy layer of snow atop the log. The top layer is a velvety mousse made from Réunion Island Blue Vanilla, paired with cinnamon and caramel. Beneath, sits a rich, chocolatey base with Peruvian milk chocolate mousse, wild tonka bean, and a hint of salted caramel crunch. It’s the dessert equivalent of haute couture – luxurious, intricate, and utterly irresistible. And with a signature Louis Vuitton flower monogram on each end, this log is as gourmand as it gets. You can now reserve this limited edition delicacy, it can be picked up on-site via Click & Collect from December 20.
And because no holiday season is complete without chocolates, Maxime Frédéric’s creations are as whimsical as they are delicious. The pièce de résistance is a chocolate tree, filled with hazelnut gianduja and adorned with treats that blend dark chocolate, pistachio praline, and caramel flavoured with exotic vanillas. His collection also includes seven edible “tags”, each inspired by Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s vintage sketches. These aren’t just chocolates – they’re mini works of art, designed to delight the eye as much as the palate.
These holiday confections promise to make this season a little sweeter, available for click-and-collect or at Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton. And if you’re still searching for the perfect gift, why not opt for something as memorable as Louis Vuitton’s new tableware and a box of chocolates?
